Mike has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Over the past 24 years, he has co-founded and served as a key executive leader of three start-up medical malpractice insurance companies where he identified market opportunities, created business and financial models, conceptualized and developed insurance products, and created and implemented policies and procedures. Mike previously served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of MedMal Direct Insurance Company, a medical malpractice insurance company, where he led the operations, underwriting, accounting, finance and technology divisions. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Physicians Preferred Insurance Company, a medical malpractice insurance company, where he led the operations, underwriting, accounting, finance and technology divisions. Mike has consulted for several insurance carriers and insurance agencies including Florida Blue. He is a licensed CPA in Florida, holds a Certified Business Manager (CBM) designation and a Global Chartered Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Florida.
