Virginia “Ginger” Kelley has been working in healthcare for over 40 years, including more than 20 years in the medical professional liability insurance industry. Ginger has held senior roles in claims, underwriting, and risk management at 5 medical malpractice insurance carriers as well as a self-insured captive. She was also a practice administrator for OB/Gyn, Primary Care, and Anesthesiology practices for 15 years. Ginger is an experienced presenter on risk management, compliance and practice management topics and has served on various industry speaker panels. She has developed many resources and programs designed to improve patient safety and identify and mitigate professional liability risk. She enjoys assisting clients with their risk management concerns so they can focus on providing high-quality patient care. Ginger holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Virginia and a Master of Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University. She earned her Associate in Risk Management from the Insurance Institute of America, is a Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management, and has been awarded fellowship status by both the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
